30000 apps on Windows Phone Marketplace now
According to a Microsoft Blog, Windows Phone has officially reached 30,000 apps in its marketplace.
The Windows Phone Marketplace is a newbie -Less than a year old- and one oof the newest app stores market so it's growth to date has been pretty impressive. It had a geat growth reaching 11,500 apps in March and then 25,000 last month. Now it's added another 30,000 apps this month to reach this latest milestone.
But in spite of all this good news to the Windows Marketplace, it still small in comparison to Apple's App Store has close to 500,000 apps and Google’s Android Market has around 250,000 apps, and they are both still growing rapidly.
Another thing to keep in mind is the quality of the apps in the stores. While Android & Apple may have more apps, some of them are complete rubbish - useless -. Microsoft is less concerned about numbers & more interested in the apps themselves.
