Using Google as a Calculator

If you never close your web browser like me because you can easily access almost everything : your email, your calendar, and even your work, why you stop there? It can function perfectly well for making basic calculations, and you don't even need to install any plugins. There are many calculator online but i perfer Google because you can use it for everything without changing the window wich you are using.

Basic calculations

Getting start with Google as a calculator is very simple; just type what you want to calculate and then press Enter or Search and Abrakadabra
This is just a simple example but Google can do much more than addition. Subtraction (1-1), Multiplication (1*1), and division (1/1) are all simple, as are exponents (5^6). A complete list of the functions Google’s calculator can use can be found here, and includes advanced functions including square root (sqrt(110)) and percentage (5% of 300).

Conversion

Google as a calculator is not just a simple calculator, it also allows you to convert between any two units just by typing a simple sentence. For example, the disctance between Malappuram, Kerala and New Delhi, Delhi is about 1600 milles. But i my GPS only accept kilometers so i must do the transformation. As usual, we go to Google and type that magic sentence 1600 miles in kilometers and you see the result in kilometers


Also you can convert units that change over time, like currency.
